On 20 November 2020, the Ambassador of Luxembourg, Mr. Georges Faber, paid a working visit to Mr. Alexey Sazanov, Deputy Minister of Finance. During the meeting, existing and future cooperation in a number of areas, including international taxation, were discussed. Both parties expressed their appreciation for the high level of cooperation during the discussions to amend the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between Russia and Luxembourg. Mr. Faber and Mr. Sazanov also exchanged their views on the future of Green Finance and mutually beneficial opportunities offered by Luxembourg in this context. Ambassador Faber highlighted the successful experience of launching the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) in 2016, the world's first trading platform designed exclusively for issuers and investors in the area of green and social finance.
