Consular services : Important notice for Schengen visa applicants

From 1 October 2026, non-biometric ordinary, diplomatic and service passports issued by the Russian Federation are not recognized for travel and visa processing across the Benelux countries – Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands.

Schengen Visas already issued in non-biometric passports cease to be valid on 31 December 2026 at the latest.
