European language day
On 20 September 2025, the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Moscow took part in the European Day of Languages as part of its work to promote the Luxembourgish language.

The program of the event included presentations, lectures, master classes, language lessons, quizzes, book swap, as well as exhibitions and concerts. More than 20 European countries were represented at the festival. Participants had the opportunity to visit stands with information about the culture, educational projects and language courses of different countries.
The Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, together with the Centre for the Luxembourgish Language (Zenter fir d’Lëtzebuerger Sprooch) and the National Institute of Languages of Luxembourg (Institut National des Langues Luxembourg), presented to participants the importance of multilingualism in Luxembourg, as well as the history and linguistic features of the Luxembourgish language. Visitors were also able to take part in Speak Dating, where they had the opportunity to put their language skills into practice by discussing any topic of interest in four languages with the Ambassador of Luxembourg Mr Thomas Reisen.
