Movie night at the Embassy of Luxembourg

On 31 May 2023, the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Moscow organized a first movie night with the screening of the movie Let’s get lost (Ailleurs si j'y suis). This comedy is a Luxembourg-Belgian-Swiss coproduction, directed by the Belgian movie maker François Pirot in 2022. The film tells the story of a man who, under pressure from his job and family, decides to give up everything and isolates himself within a forest. Faced with this demonstration of freedom, his relatives and friends wonder about him, about themselves and about the meaning of their life. The movie was shown in its original French version with Russian subtitles. The screening was organized by the Embassy as part of the promotion of Luxembourg’s movie making industry abroad. Diplomats and cultural personal from Francophone countries as well as French language students from various Moscow universities attended the screening, which was followed by a small reception.
