The Minister of Culture, Ms. Maggy Nagel, participated in the 4th International Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg on 14 and 15 December 2015. The 2015 edition of the Forum was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Unesco, in particular the preservation of sites inscribed on the World Heritage List. It was inaugurated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova.

During the visit, the Minister of Culture of Luxembourg met with her Russian counterpart, Minister Vladimir Medinsky. The protocol of the Russian-Luxembourg Committee for cultural cooperation for 2015-2018 years was signed during the visit.

The Minister of Culture also met with Directors of cultural institutions in St. Petersburg, including the Director of the Hermitage Museum, Mr. Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky and the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Erarta, Mr. Ivanchenko, with a view for future cooperation with Luxembourg based museums.
