Visa issuance for Russian citizens
The Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg wishes to highlight that in response to numerous inquiries the Delegation of the European Union to the Russian Federation confirmed the following.
There are no visa restrictions for Russians travelling to the EU.
EU Member States continue to welcome Russians be it for tourism, business, culture or other purposes.
The EU Member States handle visa applications as usual, while 33 individual persons are subject to EU travel restrictions.
The EU does not recognize the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.
