The Ambassador of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, Mr Pierre Ferring, paid a working visit to Makhachkala, on December 12 2015.

The Ambassador met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdusamad Hamidov. The meeting was also attended by the Member of the State Duma Umahan Umakhanov, the Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Ramazan Jafarov, the Minister for National Policy of Dagestan Tatiana Gamaley, the Rector of Dagestan State Agricultural Institute Zaydin Dzhambulatov.

On the same day, in the Botlikh district, a meat processing plant was inaugurated. This important economic project for the region is the result of an investment by a Luxembourg based company in Dagestan.
