Seminar on RUSSIA-EU RELATIONS IN THE PERIOD OF THE LUXEMBOURG PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

On October 12 2015, the Russian international affairs council (RIAC) with the collaboration of the Embassy of Luxembourg organized a seminar on “Russia-EU Relations under the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the EU”.

Former Foreign Minister and Chairman of the RIAC, Igor Ivanov, Ambassador Pierre Ferring and the Head of the Delegation of the EU Ambassador Usackas opened the seminar which was attended by representatives of the overwhelming majority of EU Member States and some forty representatives of the academic world who deal with international relations in Moscow as well as the Luxembourg Chairman of the International Institute for Strategic studies, François Heisbourg. The seminar gave the opportunity to have a thorough exchange of views on the current relations between the EU and Russia and on identifying potential vectors of cooperation for the resumption of the EU-Russia relation.
