Mr. Georges Faber, the Ambassador of Luxembourg, presented his credentials to H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia

  On 24 November 2020, Mr. Georges Faber, the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Russian Federation, presented his credentials to H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, during a formal ceremony held in the Saint Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. During his remarks, President Putin highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Russia and Luxembourg in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas. The President also expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, for his initiative to erect a monument to the memory of the Soviet citizens who were forced by Nazi Germany to work in occupied Luxembourg during the Second World War.
