Groundbreaking Ceremony for a new Guardian Float Plant in Krasny Sulin, May 13th 2011
A groundbreaking ceremony in view of the construction of a new float glass manufacturing plant of Guardian Industries Corp. in Krasny Sulin (Rostov region), was held on May 13th 201. The president of Guardian Glass Group, Mr.Russel Ebeid, the Minister of Economy of the Rostov region, Mr.Bartenyev , the vice-governor of the Rostov region, Mr.Trifonov, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Luxembourg Embassy in Russia, Mr. Jean Claude Kugener participated at the official ceremony. The Chief Technical Officer "Guardian Europe", Mr.Murashko, and other representatives from
the Guardian European Headquarter in Luxembourg also assisted at this ceremony for a new plant that will produce 900 tons of glass per day.
Located 957 kilometers from Moscow in the southern part of Russia along the Azov Sea, Rostov has sufficient natural resources, a large workforce and a well-developed transportation infrastructure. The area is also close to Sochi, home of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
«Guardian Glass Rostov» is a second project of Guardian Industries in Russia. In 2008, Guardian began production at its plant in Ryazan, Russia, serving the greater Moscow and the central region of Russia and producing 800 tons of glass per day.
