Opening hours of the Consular section (documents' reception): 

Monday-Tuesday: 09.00 - 12.00 a.m.

Wednesday: closed
Thursday-Friday: 09.00 - 12.00 a.m.

The consulate is closed on all Russian holidays.



Due to the COVID-19 situation and the measures taken in the European Union and under instruction of the Luxembourg authorities, the consular section in Moscow is closed until further notice and the issuing of C and D type visas is suspended.Passport issuing services are also suspended (except duly justified emergency cases). In case of emergency, consular assistance to Luxembourg citizens and Luxembourg residents will be provided ( ).

Schengen is a small village in the south-eastern part of Luxembourg on the borders of the Moselle where the borders of Luxembourg, Germany and France meet.

On June 14th, 1985, the “Schengen Treaty” was signed in this village where a European Museum was opened on June 13th, 2010, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Schengen Treaty in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand-Duke and the Grand-Duchess of Luxembourg.
