H.E. the Ambassador of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg to the Russian Federation, Mr. Pierre Ferring, visited Samara region, on April 9-10th, 2015.

During the visit the Ambassador participated at the official opening in Togliatti of the new plant of ACCUMALUX Rus, which is part of the ACCUMALUX GROUP, a Luxembourg based supplier of plastic component needs for the automotive, motive power and reserve power batteries.

During his visit the Ambassador held a working meeting with the Governor of Samara region, Mr. Nikolay Merkushkin, as well as the Vice-Governor, Minister of the Economic Development, Investments and Trade of Samara region, Mr. Aleksandr Kobenko, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of Samara region, Mr. Oleg Zhadaev.

During the meeting the possibilities for further enhancing economic cooperation between the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and the Samara Region were discussed.

The Ambassador also visited the AVTOVAZ plant in Togliatti, which is one among the market leaders of the Russian automotive industry.
