Working visit of Minister Asselborn to Russia, 3 July 2015
| The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Mr Jean Asselborn, paid a working visit to Moscow on 3 July 2015. He was received by his Russian counterpart, Minister Sergey Lavrov, for a bilateral meeting followed by a working luncheon. During their meeting, both Ministers exchanged views on the bilateral relations by reviewing the political, economic and commercial ties between both countries. Both Ministers also discussed the perspectives of the cooperation between the European Union and the Russian Federation during the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union which started on 1 July 2015. The Ministers also exchanged their views about the current political situation in Ukraine and the necessity of the implementation of the Minsk Protocol. The crisis in the Middle East and North Africa and other important topics of international politics were also discussed.
