H.E. Ambassador of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, Mr. Pierre Ferring, paid a working visit to Volgograd, on July 29-30, 2015, in the context of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

During his visit H.E. Mr. Ambassador held meetings with the Governor of the Volgograd region, Mr. Andrei Bocharov, and the Vice-Chief of the Volgograd city, Mr. Vladlen Kolesnikov. H.E. Mr. Ambassador also held a working meeting with the President of the Volgograd Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Vadim Tkachenko.

During these meetings the possibilities of potential cooperation in cultural, tourism, investment and agriculture sectors were discussed.

Furthermore, during his visit the Ambassador visited the historical memorial complex Mamayev Kurgan and laid flowers at the eternal flame to commemorate the sacrifice of the soldiers of the Red Army during the Battle of Stalingrad.
